Radisson Hotel Group Expands Sports Venue Portfolio with Two New Hotels

by Angela

Radisson Hotel Group is expanding its presence in the sports and entertainment sector with the signing of two new hotels at major football venues: Manchester City’s Etihad Campus and Oxford United’s new football ground.

These new additions continue Radisson’s trend of partnering with prominent sports venues worldwide, including cricket grounds in the UK and India, and the Twickenham rugby stadium. The Manchester hotel, named The Medlock, will be part of the growing Etihad Campus and will be a Radisson Blu-branded property. The hotel will feature 401 rooms, including standard, deluxe, suites, and a luxury penthouse suite. In addition to accommodation, the hotel will offer a roof walk and a museum experience, creating a unique destination for visitors. Valor Hospitality will manage the property, with an expected opening in late 2026.

The hotel will serve both football fans attending Manchester City games and visitors to events at the nearby Co-op Live arena, the UK’s largest music venue. The Etihad Campus also offers meetings and events spaces, making it an ideal location for corporate gatherings.

At Oxford United’s new stadium, a 180-room hotel will be developed as part of the Triangle development. More than half of the hotel’s rooms will have a view of the football pitch, offering a unique experience for fans and visitors.

Both projects underscore Radisson Hotel Group’s strategy to leverage major sports and entertainment venues for expanded hospitality offerings.
