Raffles Hotels & Resorts is set to make its Italian debut with Raffles Lake Como, a luxury resort created through the full-scale renovation of the former Grand Hotel Imperiale. The property, an elegant art nouveau villa from the 1920s, boasts one of the largest hotel shorelines in the region.
Located on the exclusive western banks of Lake Como in Moltrasio, the resort offers easy access to the town of Como and features a private dock, allowing guests to explore the lake with ease.
“Raffles Lake Como is a milestone for us as our first property in Italy and fifth in Europe, reinforcing our commitment to expanding in the world’s most desirable resort destinations,” said Omer Acar, CEO of Raffles Hotels & Resorts. “Raffles is synonymous with elegance, exceptional service, and unforgettable experiences, and we are excited to bring these qualities to one of the most glamorous locations in the world.”
The resort will blend Raffles’ signature sophistication with Italian charm. It will feature 84 rooms, including 18 suites and two villas, many with breathtaking lake views. Guests can indulge in lakeside dining, enjoy the Raffles Long Bar and Writers Bar, and relax at the spa, fitness center, and beach club. The resort will also offer both indoor and outdoor swimming pools and an exclusive private lake access experience, including a unique arrival and check-in by boat.
