Corinthia Group Acquires Two Beverly Hills hotels

by Angela

Corinthia Group, an international hotel owner and investment firm based in Malta, has partnered with Kuwait-based Action Real Estate Co. to acquire two boutique hotels in Beverly Hills, California. The acquisition, totaling nearly 100 hotel rooms, marks the group’s first venture into the U.S. market.

The two hotels, Maison 140 and Mosaic Hotel, are located just one block apart in the heart of Beverly Hills, on Lasky Drive and Spaulding Avenue.

Maison 140, a luxury hotel with 44 guestrooms, is inspired by French and Far Eastern design. It was originally built in 1939 as a residential apartment for silent film star Lillian Gish. Mosaic Hotel, which features 49 rooms, is currently part of the Preferred Hotel & Resorts independent chain and was built in 1959.

This acquisition marks an important milestone for Corinthia Group’s expansion efforts. “Beverly Hills is one of the world’s foremost hospitality destinations, and we are committed to adding value while creating luxury experiences for both the local community and our brand’s global reach,” said Simon Naudi, CEO of Corinthia Group, in a statement.
