In a groundbreaking move, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has launched The Metrostay, a tech-savvy and budget-friendly pod hotel located right inside New Delhi Metro Station. Aimed at transit travelers, The Metrostay offers overnight accommodations starting at just INR 400, providing an affordable and convenient option in the heart of the capital’s busiest transit hub.
Ideally situated near both the Airport Express Line and New Delhi Railway Station, The Metrostay caters to commuters and professionals in need of a clean and comfortable stay without the high costs of traditional hotels. The dorm-style setup features bunk beds, digital lockers, and separate washrooms for women. Guests also have access to a lounge, co-working space, game zone, and a mini-theater for screenings of live matches and movies.
Launched in January, the pod hotel currently offers 150 beds. Manager Altamash shared that the hotel accepts both walk-ins and bookings through Goibibo, with plans to introduce private rooms in the near future. Guests enjoy thoughtful amenities such as individual charging points, bottle holders, and an easy self-check-in process.
Travelers like Sachin and Adarsh Kumar have praised The Metrostay for its cleanliness, practicality, and smart design, providing a safe and efficient alternative to expensive or inconvenient lodging during short stays in Delhi.
