Treebo Teams Up with Accor and InterGlobe to Launch Mercure Hotels

by Angela

Treebo Hospitality Ventures (THV), a tech-driven hotel chain in India, has entered into a strategic partnership with global hospitality giant Accor and Indian travel conglomerate InterGlobe Enterprises. Under the agreement, Treebo will lead the expansion of Accor’s Ibis and Mercure brands across India through a master license arrangement.

With over 800 hotels across 120 cities, Treebo plans to use this partnership to boost its presence in the growing mid-market segment. The company will leverage its technology and distribution network to help drive this expansion.

Sidharth Gupta, Co-founder of Treebo, called the partnership a significant milestone. “With Accor and InterGlobe’s support, we now have a robust platform to serve both small and large hotels in the mid-market segment. Together, we’re unlocking the next phase of India’s hospitality transformation,” he said.

As part of the deal, Treebo has signed agreements to open 10 Mercure hotels, adding over 700 rooms in cities such as Bangalore, Siliguri, Calicut, Mysore, Alwar, and Haridwar. These locations have seen growing demand for branded hotels, which the new properties aim to meet.

Accor and InterGlobe will also invest in Treebo, making them the largest minority shareholders in the company. The three partners will merge their development and management efforts under a new independent entity, which will oversee the expansion of Accor’s brands in India, including those under its Ennismore division, known for its luxury and lifestyle properties.
