Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, a part of the global hospitality leader Accor, has unveiled the Fairmont Golden Prague, marking a new chapter for one of the city’s most iconic and historic buildings. Located at the entrance of the prestigious Pařížská Boulevard on the banks of the Vltava River, the hotel is housed in a landmark structure that has undergone a multi-million euro renovation.
The renovation, led by chief architect Marek Tichý, preserves the building’s brutalist architecture while introducing a fresh, modern hospitality experience. Originally designed by Czech architect Karel Filsak in 1974, the building’s distinctive design has been carefully restored, with elements like blown glass chandeliers, gilded light fixtures, and ornate ash wood posts seamlessly blending with contemporary touches.
The new hotel offers a sophisticated ambiance that honors its cultural and artistic heritage, alongside modern comforts and a focus on local experiences. Guests will enjoy a unique atmosphere that combines historical significance with heartfelt service and immersive experiences in the heart of Prague.
