ITC Hotels Ltd has revealed plans to open 14 new properties under its Fortune Hotels brand during the 2024-25 financial year. This includes seven new hotel launches and reflects a strategic focus on expanding in tier II and III cities across India. The move strengthens Fortune Hotels’ presence in the upscale to mid-market hospitality segment.
Notably, the expansion includes Fortune’s first international hotel, located in Bhaktapur, Nepal. New openings in India are set for cities like Pahalgam, Puri, Chennai, Candolim, Palampur, and Ekta Nagar.
By March 31, 2025, the Fortune Hotels brand will have 78 properties, with 56 operational and 22 in development, spanning over 65 cities in both India and Nepal.
Anil Chadha, Managing Director of ITC Hotels, emphasized the company’s commitment to growth, stating, “We reaffirm our commitment to sustained growth and excellence in hospitality. This footprint expansion endeavors to offer travelers access to prime locations and Fortune’s comfortable hospitality.”
The brand’s recent signings include new locations in Goa, Kolkata, Rishikesh, Indore, Bhimtal, Mukteshwar, Gorakhpur, Mohali, Surat, and Ayodhya. These developments are designed to accelerate Fortune’s reach into emerging and underserved markets, aligned with India’s expanding travel and tourism sector.
